PMS Vendors
PMS integration with the Health Claims for Auto Insurance application is an important feature of the system and all PMS vendors are welcome to adapt their software to connect with HCAI. Integration using Web Services is one option and another option is to use a toolkit that will support defined APIs (Application Program Interfaces).
Over the course of the HCAI project, health care provider associations and other stakeholders have identified a number of PMS vendors that are active in this market, and these vendors were invited to work with the HCAI team on a PMS integration guide and toolkit. The API for using the Toolkit was published in Spring 2006. The updated PMS Integration Guide, the Toolkit and the Web Services for PMS Integration were published in September 2009. Some PMS Vendors have successfully integrated and several are testing and are planning to integrate during the HCAI Rollout phase.
